Mechanical Inspector - £25 per hour Inside IR35 - 12 Months (extensions highly likely) - Greater Manchester - Onsite working - One stage interview - Sector: Aerospace and Defence

Yolk Recruitment is searching for a Mechanical Inspector to work with a leading defence client pushing the boundaries of technologies in the sector.

In this role you will mainly be certifying the product in line with the product certification procedure and inspecting the work of other people to these procedures.

Responsibilities

• Examining for correct assembly
• Examining the finish of all parts to detect faulty finishing or painting, deterioration of surfaces etc.
• Inspect for physical damage
• Intermediate inspection checks non product certification
• Monitor product certification operators
• Control defect items via segregation from good product
• Produce relevant inspection/quality control documentation/history sheets
• Maintain product certification and approval via regular audits

Essential experience:

• Formal technical engineering/craft apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21 or HNC

Desirable experience:

• IPC 610 certified/trained
