Yolk recruitment is recruiting for Microfocus Dimensions Data Migration Engineer to work with a renowned aerospace client that is creating cutting edge defence technology pushing the boundaries of the industry.

This project has been designated a UK eyes only security status, only sole UK passport holders can be accepted for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Learn how to migrate the databases from the old version of Dimensions to a new and supported version of the tool.
• Document the process of migration such that it can be repeated.
• Migrate project data from the obsolete version of the database (on secure network 1) to the new and supported version of the tool; the order of migration shall be provided based on business risk, usage and priority.
• As a possible follow-on project, to migrate project data from the obsolete version of the database (on secure network 2) to the new and supported version of the tool on (on secure network 2); the order of migration shall be provided based on business risk, usage and priority.

Core Skills:

• Hold a sole British passport, and able to undergo SC security clearance.
• In depth knowledge of Microfocus Dimensions, specifically the underlying database structure.
• Ability to work on site due to the classification of the data, access to the network.

Desirable Skills:

• Hold a current SC security clearance.
• Previous experience within aerospace and defence sector
