Software Packaging Engineer - up to £40,000 - Hybrid (1 Day a Week in Newport)

The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a specialised Civil Service Organisation who are presently undergoing an interesting transformation into the cloud space.

We are supporting them to recruit somebody with excellent Flexera Admin Studio skills, who can efficiently package software as well as updates and patches.

What the Software Packaging Engineer will be doing
You will be working with the IT Service Management team to create and manage application packages and releases for new starters and existing users.

• Effectively package and re-package softwares for deployment to end user devices.
• Onboarding and deploying software to end user devices.
• Provide technical assistance for updates and deployments.
• Work with key parties to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.

What the successful Software Packaging Engineer will bring to the team
You will have experience packaging softwares and applications using Flexera Admin Studio, as well as supporting them post release.

• Experience using Flexera Admin Studio
• Experience of using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
• Knowledge of application deployment and repackaging
• Knowledge of upgrading and retiring old applications
