Packaging & Product Technical Specialist

Salary up to £34,000

Yolk Recruitment is excited to spearhead the recruitment campaign for a Packaging & Product Technical Specialist at a distinguished manufacturing facility in West Wales. As a vital member of the Market Technical Team, you'll contribute to driving innovation and technical excellence across packaging and processes, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the success of a prominent product range.

This is what you'll be doing:

• Lead projects for developing packaging from concept to industrialisation within cross-functional project teams, emphasising line performance, cost efficiency, on-time delivery, and product quality.
• Assist and document trials for new products.
• Optimise and enhance current products and processes within our manufacturing facility.
• Assist Packaging Head Office and Procurement in selecting, assessing, and developing new suppliers/converters.
• Participate in or lead audits of packaging suppliers.
• Oversee all other packaging administration specific to the factory.

And this is what you'll need:

• Proficient understanding of manufacturing, QA, and supply chain quality systems, encompassing Food Safety and Quality Management systems (QMS, GMP, HACCP).
• Have an analytical mindset and the ability to problem solve complex issues.
• Detailed understanding of packaging Safety, Quality, and Compliance requirements.
