Yolk are currently looking for a mid-level PHP Developer to join a thriving business in Gloucester with immediate start available. You will join a very experienced software team, helping to update legacy products to more modern technology in order to streamline the businesses processes.

This is what you’ll be doing

You will develop and enhance the functionality of the core business systems with a particular focus on larger, high quality improvements and projects. You will play an integral role in the specification and implementation of enhancements to their enterprise level business system. As an experienced PHP developer, your role will have a big focus on building high quality APIs to communicate between the different business systems.

The experience you’ll bring to the team

• 2+ years PHP development experience
• MVC frameworks such as Laravel, Zend
• Ability to design and develop RESTful APIs
• Database knowledge, MySQL, MariaDB
• Experience with TDD
• Git, Docker, AWS/Azure experience desirable
• HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript ES6+
