Responsibilities:

The client's container platform is the target platform and the backbone of a critical government function. Many new microservices that are being built land on this platform. In recent years, a hosting environment based on OpenShift has been supplied. As the number of teams and volume increases, the client wants to start adding more value by providing common services on the platform so that development teams can focus more on development.

The client wants to set up Platform enablement and unburden teams in the areas of observability, security, CI/CD and developer experience. There is a need for a Platform engineer to strengthen the platform team, who will give substance to:

• Developing new products/services in the microservices landscape
• Developing platform enablement in a cloud-native landscape
• Further automation of the platform by means of ArgoCD/Flux (GitOps)
• Actively transfer knowledge

Core Skills:

• Experience as a platform engineer (4 years)
• Experience in development of platform services in a Cloud Native environment (3 years)
• At least 5 years of regular work experience post-HBO

Desirable Skills:

• Kubernetes (OpenShift)
• Argo CD
• Open Telemetry
• Prometheus
