Process Engineer

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum plus benefits

Would you like to work for a business who continue to produce technically superior products? My client has a strong reputation within their field and due to continuous growth, they currently require an experienced Process Engineer to focus on Quality. You will play a key role within the technical department working on areas of safety, cost and environmental performance. You will do this through using appropriate problem-solving tools and techniques.

As Process Engineer you’ll be

  • Ensure the day to day compliance of various textile finishing processes to the technical, quality and safety specifications.

  • Maintain the integrity of the processes to meet the desired productivity targets without compromising the quality, safety or environmental requirements.

  • Recommend and implement improvements to the mechanical aspects of all processing equipment.

  • Maintain and improve the effectiveness of the process and plant.

  • Liaise with production on the implementation and training of operators to standard working methods and auditing compliance to these methods and specifications.

  • Actively take part in reduction of quality figures, investigating root causes and putting procedures in place to eliminate

  • Look at ways to make the process(es) more effective.

 

What you’ll bring to the team

·        Educated to degree level in a science, engineering or manufacturing discipline

·        Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.

·        Mechanically minded with the capability to lead a team

·        Knowledge of typical process improvement methodologies such as 5s, TPM and SPC etc.

·        Be conversant with Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages.

·        Familiar with ISO9001, ISO14001 and safety standards.

·        Have good written and verbal communication skills.
