As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring quality, service, and cost targets are met. This is what you'll be doing:

• Manage a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring effective relationships and performance.
• Develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy for key components and materials.
• Identify and implement cost-saving projects, taking a lead role in driving project success.
• Monitor and analyze key commodity markets, identifying opportunities and risks for the business.
• Collaborate with global procurement partners to enhance the competitive advantage of the wider Panasonic supply chain.
• Create business continuity plans, including risk mitigation strategies and financial health assessments of key partners.
• Facilitate the procurement process for new product development initiatives.
• Guide Engineering and other teams through the sourcing strategy and supplier selection process.
• Oversee contract management activities.
• Implement agile inventory management practices.

The experience you'll bring to the team:

• Extensive purchasing experience within a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Desirable requirements:

• Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain/Procurement.
• MCIPS certification is desirable, but not essential.
• Experience working with Asian suppliers.
• Detailed knowledge of the Oracle system.
• Ability to think strategically and make independent decisions.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Confident negotiator, capable of handling complex procurement activities.
• Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
• Previous experience in a Manufacturing industry.
• Awareness of Lean principles.
