We're looking for an Engineer with knowledge of electronics, hands on capabilities and experience of NPI to move forward in their career as a Production Engineer. The ideal candidate may have already gained experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or NPI Engineer, or be working towards this goal. Full product and industry training is provided.
This is what you'll be doing as Production Engineer
- Act as the primary interface between product design and manufacturing
- Provide production support through installation and maintenance of production equipment
- Represent Production Engineering on NPI project teams, advising on manufacturing aspects of bringing new products to mass production
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers and suppliers
- Provide input on the suitability of new components for manufacturing
- Oversee test and process equipment
- Support validation activities
- Implementing new test and production methods
- Coordinate pilot and pre production build phases of NPI
- Create and manage production documentation - build instructions, test processes, assembly/test records
- Support PCN and ECN processes
The experience you'll bring to the team
Essential
- HNC/HND or above in Electronics
- Able to read and interpret circuit diagrams
- Experience of electronic product manufacturing
- Good knowledge of MS Office Software
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience of Labview
