As our new Professional Practice Lead you will shape and deliver our approach to being Trauma Informed practitioners using Restorative Approaches. You will help identify, and work to remove barriers to relationship building - developing policies, processes and behaviours that reflect this ambition.

Our ideal candidate shares our mutual values and is passionate about working in partnership with colleagues, tenants and communities. At this level, you'll need to be an excellent communicator. You're someone who writes and presents well to a range of audiences, tailoring your approach as required. You speak eloquently and you know how to get to the point. You're a self-starter with bucket loads of initiative and creativity, as well as excellent decision-making abilities. You bring the whole team along with you, you love people, and they love you right back.

This post is initially offered on a 2 year fixed term contract to allow us to assess the impact.

Why Join our client?

As well as having a great culture, our client offers a range of excellent benefits. These include 22 days annual leave increasing up to 27 days, generous pension contributions, family friendly working arrangements, exciting career progression opportunities, 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Programme and Happy Me, their very own initiative to support your well being and help you to thrive.

On 6th June 2022 our client embarked on an important project to explore the possibility of balancing a shorter working week with higher productivity and improved services to tenants. If you were to join their Mutual, you would join all of our colleagues to participate in a 6-month UK wide trial (#4DayWeek #UK4DayPilot) with the aim to prove that it is possible to deliver:

100% of our services, in

80% of the hours, for

100% of the salary

The Chief Executive, is hugely committed to tenants and employees working together to grow and shape their mutual.

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Our client doesn't like to complicate matters. If you are driven to perform, you'll fit right in, it's as simple as that. They believe people's differences are what make them great and actively seek out multiple approaches and perspectives. They are passionate about building a culture where everyone feels comfortable bringing their authentic, whole self to work.

They are committed to the principles of equality and diversity, and we want to be a mutual for everyone. They have been awarded the prestigious Tai Pawb "Quality in Equality and Diversity" accreditation, but know that they still have work to do. People from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities are currently under-represented in their mutual. They actively encourage people from these communities to apply for this and other roles within the organisation. They operate the Rooney rule and guarantee to interview all under-represented people who meet our essential criteria.

More about them

They are all about people, communities and delivering high quality affordable services. They are the first tenant and employee mutual housing association in Wales. The principles of mutuality guide what we do, from being a living wage employer and living rent landlord, to the mixed representation from tenants and employees they have within their uniquely designed governance structure. As an anchor investor supporting our community, they are passionate about what they do. They are a successful organisation with great housing services, have sound finances and believe in being efficient.
