Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Chester (On site)
Duration: 12 Month Contract
Rate: £35 / hour (Inside IR35)
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a Project Engineer for Manufacturing Engineering (ME) within a leading aerospace company, based in Chester. Joining the Internal Supply & Support (IS&S) ME Team, you'll collaborate closely with shop floor teams to ensure minimal disruption while delivering innovative, value-adding, and robust solutions. As a pivotal team member, you'll lead projects aimed at enabling and enhancing production processes while upholding safety, cost, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct process mapping and requirement definition to support business needs.
- Oversee analysis, design, development, integration, and technical acceptance for projects.
- Facilitate crane lifts by developing lifting processes.
- Ensure project activities adhere to budget, schedule, and resource allocations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define "AS IS" and "TO BE" solutions.
- Manage project financials including cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and expense management.
- Generate necessary project documentation following the agreed Governance model.
- Identify, report, and manage project dependencies and risks.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated Project Management experience, preferably with LBIP, AGILE, or Planisware.
- Project Management accreditation would be advantageous.
- Experience with lifting and handling methods is preferred.
- Previous exposure to a Production environment is beneficial.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management and building customer relationships.
- Ability to analyse and simplify complex topics for stakeholder understanding.
- Familiarity with tools like Click n Buy, FMEA, SWOT analysis, and flowcharts would be advantageous.
- Experience in generating Technical Specifications based on Operational Requirements.
