Purchasing and Logistics Administrator

Yolk Recruitment are excited to be working closely with a leading Electronics company in Cardiff, to find a friendly and driven Purchasing and Logistics Administrator to join their team.

They partner with global and well-known brands, to provide security products and technology around the world and have become one of Europe's most successful multi-brand distributors of electronic security products

What you'll be doing?

This is an excellent opportunity for a Purchasing and Logistics Administrator to join a busy and dynamic electronics company based in Cardiff. You will support the Purchasing and Logistics Manager in tracking orders through the entire order cycle, and complete administration around this. You will also:

  • Provide quotations and information to customers, supporting them in placing orders
  • Liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders regularly regarding orders, PO's and lead times ensuring excellent communication and relationship building
  • Handle and process any transportation and shipping documents
  • Support the purchasing team by booking deliveries to ensure that all scheduled shipments arrive on time
  • Raise purchase orders and support in invoices, debit and credit notes and authorising payments for imports
  • Regularly liaise with other team members and departments within the business regarding stock levels and orders
  • Update the databases and logging any returns into the department
  • Complete various administrative tasks, including filing, typing, reporting and keeping all databases up to date

What you'll bring to the team?

As a driven and positive Purchasing and Logistics administrator, you will have previous experience within a fast- paced administrative role. Whilst experience within Purchasing and Logistics would be handy, it isn't essential as full training will be provided. You will also have:

  • The ability to multitask and prioritise your own workload.
  • The desire to learn and develop your skills and knowledge further
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel (Sage would be a bonus but isn't necessary)
  • Fantastic relationship building skills with people on all levels
  • Confidence in working within a busy and changeable environment
