Yolk are working exclusively with a brand driven business who are at the beginning of a very exciting journey in an ever-evolving Industry. This business provides a variety of products to key industries across the UK, America, Australia and Ireland. They offer a high end and elite brand in a competitive market. Due to rapid growth they require an experienced Quality, Safety and Environmental Manager. You will play a key role in developing the overall Quality culture within the business, monitoring incidents and managing non-conformities. This client is set in the beautiful countryside just outside of Cardiff.

As Quality, Safety and Environmental Manager you’ll be….

  • Opening and monitoring of the execution of corrective and preventive actions.

  • Managing customer returns/complaints, providing a response and also an action plan to resolve.

  • Analysis and processing of data for improvement actions and co-ordination and training of improvement groups.

  • Plan, co-ordinate and execute the carrying out of internal and external audits.

  • Lead the site to achieve accreditations as part of the overall site objectives (SALSA initially with BRC as next stage).

  • Management of own documentation, reports and statistics.

  • Calibrate and check the precision of testing, laboratory and production equipment

  • Ensure fulfilment of legal regulations and the guidelines on Health and Safety.

  • Work with Group Lead in preventive actions in relation to safety at work.

  • Lead the Safety at Work Committee.

  • Plan and manage health and safety training.

  • Co-ordinate the handing out and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Ensure compliance with current legislation: waste waters, emissions, residues, etc.

  • Relationship with local authorities: authorisations, licences, statistics, etc.

  • Manage all waste routes from the site with providers of services etc

What you’ll bring to the team…

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Knowledge of quality systems and standards

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance

  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques

  • Proficient in using all Microsoft office packages
