Yolk recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-known manufacturer who are looking for a Quality Engineer based in Ebbw Vale.
This is a great opportunity to join an established, growing company with great potential for growth options. With good staff retention rates, and an opportunity to be mentored and be able to put your own stamp on the Quality department, this is a great opportunity for an up and coming Quality Engineer, or an established Quality Engineer.
Reporting directly to the Quality & Regulating Manager, you will support new product development activities to a high level.
What you will be doing as Quality Engineer:
- Able to investigate and support other departments in the investigation of customer complaints, CAPA’s & Non Conformances
- Carry out QC testing on production and updating the database accordingly
- Assist the Product Development & Engineering teams to ensure all product development & validations are carried out to the required standard.
- Facilitate FMEA & root cause analysis activities as required
- Review and amend QMS documentation e.g. procedures, WI’s, Test Methods as required
- Lead or facilitate CAPA projects as required and coach Team leaders on CAPA process
- Carry out test method validation activities
- Deputise for the Quality & Regulatory Manager as required
- Use of quality tools & techniques e.g. root cause analysis, DoE
The skills you will bring as Quality Engineer:
- Iso9001 expereince
- Ability to use Quality Tools
- Previous experience in a quality engineering role in a manufacturing environment
- Maths & English to minimum GCSE (A-C) or equivalent
- A formal education in quality e.g. CQI Certificate in Quality is preferred
- Previous experience in a quality engineering role in a manufacturing environment
- The ability to self-manage time and workload
- Good communication skills, both written & oral
- Competent in MS Excel, MS Powerpoint & Minitab

- Salary up to £35,000 dependant on experience
