Quality Technician
What you will be doing
To maintain aspects of the current quality and environmental systems, in order to ensure conformance through a structured audit process
To ensure quality tools are used to secure conforming products and processes.
Responsibilities:
Working within the site to ensure products, processes & systems conform to industry best practices.
People:
To work with the internal manufacturing and QAE teams at GSM Automotive and across all levels within the business. To further establish first class communications throughout the business and customer/supplier base.
Summary:
Communication skills need to be of the highest level. This is supported by the right ambition, enthusiasm, commitment and drive to the growth and prosperity of GSM must shine through.
Specific Duties:
Systems:
To ensure that all of the work practices throughout the business are completed in accordance to IATF 16949 procedures
To ensure that all of the work practices throughout the business are completed in accordance to ISO14001 procedures
Quality:
Print approvals (art work)
Part measurement hand equipment
Part measurement CMM
In coming inspection
Gauge control
Calibration
Complete dimensional reports
Specification control
Vendor rating stats
Product audits
Process audits
Reject Material Notes
Register control
Quarantine area
Document change control
Internal order raising
Co-ordinate stock sweeps
Shop floor auditing
Suspect work control and dispositioning
ISO 14001 system control
ISO 14001 site audits
Housekeeping audits
Product safety (support role)
General:
To understand and work within the business Quality system IATF 16949
To understand and work within the business Environmental system ISO14001
To identify improved systems of work, through the continuous improvement system
To support the implementation of shop floor quality costing and performance measures
To identify opportunities to reduce “waste” and where applicable work towards achieving improvements
To work within the company’s Health & Safety Policy
To maintain a clean and tidy work environment
To identify their own particular needs that contributes to their own future development
To convene, run and / or attend meetings as and when required
IT literate including use of OEM customer portals
