The opportunity

This International law firm is looking for a paralegal to support the conveyancing requirements in the teams work for commercial Real Estate, Portfolios and Units, Banking and Finance.

This firm has been recognised by Chambers Global as a Band 1 in a number of categories as well as being placing 35th in the UK 100 ranking in 2020.

The team is looking for a paralegal / conveyancer who is confident in their technical ability, has strong interpersonal skills, impressive client care skills as well as being a delivery focused individual.

This office consists of three partners, two senior Associates, three Associates, one paralegal and one Trainee supported by the Internal Client Services team.

This team advises on conveyancing, residential property investment and development, secured lending and landlord and tenant. The clients include national funds, landed estates, national funds as well as involvement in residential development and investment.  The team also has a wide experience in acquisitions and disposals of commercial property portfolios with expertise in the hotel and care.

This is what you will be doing:
  • Document preparation: Licences, Contracts and Transfers
  • Document review
  • Managing and reviewing searches and Land Registry Titles
  • Transaction management
  • Dealing with mortgage redemption's
  • Transaction completions
  • Dealing with transnational post completion matters including SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, billing, and balancing funds on account
  • Managing online data rooms
  • Document management
  • Transnational support
  • Point of contact for third parties
The experience you will bring to the team:
  • Be a licensed conveyancer or working towards this qualification (or equivalent legal qualification)
  • Have experience in a similar conveyancing role
  • Have real estate legal experience with knowledge of SDLT and Land Registry
  • Be confident to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Demonstrate excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrate excellent IT skills including Excel, Word and Worksite
  • Have the ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels
  • Be confident in both verbal and written communication with a diverse range of clients
  • Have a flexible approach and willing to go the extra mile
  • Highly motivated individual who will be able to deal effectively with conflicting requirements
  • Strong commitment to providing clients with a high quality service
  • High degree of accuracy/attention to detail
