Recruitment Officer 
£25,000 - with view to increase to £27,000 p/a following probation completion 

Are you experienced in recruitment and looking for an 'in house' role working as part of a friendly and welcoming team? Do you enjoy interacting with others and managing your own workload? If so, then this role could be perfect for you.

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a well established team in the Pontypool area as a Recruitment Officer on a full time permanent basis; you will be working alongside the HR Manager and small team of Administration staff. Recruitment experience in some form is essential for this role! 

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Designing and placing adverts for current vacancies.
  • Proactively approaching candidates regarding live vacancies.
  • Short listing candidates, arranging and holding interviews in conjunction with Branch Management.
  • Completing all pre-employment checks, such as verification of identification, reference checks, DBS applications etc.
  • Carrying out recruitment analysis, attending regular meetings and producing/presenting reports and (KPI’s).
  • Driving recruitment efficiency, reducing job vacancy levels, increasing candidate quality, and improving recruitment processes.
  • Complying with all relevant employment or other law relevant to recruitment, including data protection compliance and improvement throughout all recruitment processes.

This would suit a proactive candidate who is able to think outside the box and who's keen to approach tasks creatively.

The experience that you'll bring to the team:

  • You'll possess experience within a recruitment environment - either agency or in house.You'll preferably have experience in managing recruitment budgets.
  • You'll have experience in recruiting at high volume.
  • You'll have experience of owning the end-to-end recruitment process and its life cycle.
  • You'll be extremely proactive and capable of managing a full workload, in a fast-paced, highly pressured environment, often working to tight deadlines.
  • A full driver’s licence with access to your own vehicle is a requirement for this role, due to regular travel for recruitment events; this may include overnight stays.
