We are working with industry leading innovators in the defence industry, dedicated to developing cutting-edge technologies that ensure the safety and national security. As we continue to expand their teams, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Engineers off all disciplines to contribute to the success of their mission.

Position Overview:

As a Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of safety protocols for advanced defence systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement measures to guarantee the highest level of safety in our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough safety assessments of defence systems and subsystems.
  • Develop safety plans and protocols in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to integrate safety measures into the product development lifecycle.
  • Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify potential safety issues.
  • Review and evaluate system architecture and components for compliance with safety requirements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide safety recommendations to improve system reliability.
  • Stay current with industry standards and best practices in safety engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field - or experience equivalent
  • Proven experience in safety engineering within the defence industry
  • In-depth knowledge of safety standards and regulations applicable to defence systems (e.g., MIL-STD-882, DEF STAN 00-55, 00-56).
  • Strong understanding of system engineering principles and their application to safety.
  • Experience with hazard analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Certification in Safety Engineering or related field is highly desirable.
