Sales and Logistics Coordinator

This is what you’ll be doing

Due to continued growth this company are looking to recruit a sales/logistics coordinator. This is a new role which will involve the organisation of all the transportation cycle to make ensure established deadlines are met

  • Assist customers through the buying process face to face, email and telephone.
  • Proving quotations and taking orders.
  • Providing job cards for yard staff
  • Facilitates the delivery of goods from one destination to another
  • Ensure goods are available for dispatch on time
  • Receives products and coordinates delivery
  • Contact customer to arrange and confirm transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with little or no delay
  • Ensure payment has been made
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Creating purchase orders
  • Ensure minimal stock is kept at optimal levels
  • Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
  • Ensure deliveries are correct/sign off for payment
  • Monitoring production daily
  • Oversees inventory of goods and vehicles
  • Streamlines shipping and transportation processes
  • Book lorries in for mandatory checks and maintenance/MOT/tax
  • Ensure driver training records, licences etc are up to date/ book CPC’s as required.
  • Issue lorry check sheets and ensure same are collected weekly, reporting any major faults
 The experience you’ll bring to the team
  • Previous experience within an administration, logistics and sales administration 
  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s
  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • High attention to detail
