Yolk Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading insurance company to recruit for Sales Executives in Cardiff. We are looking for candidates with customer facing / sales experience or graduates looking for their first sales role. You will be working in a fast-paced inbound contact centre environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an employer with ambitious growth plans, who encourage their staff to develop their skillsets and work with autonomy as they look to help grow the organisation.

The hours are 37.5 hours per week between the hours of 8:30am and 8:00pm on a rolling rota shift pattern, to include some evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Your responsibilities as a Sales Executive

As a sales executive you will be managing inbound calls selling insurance to our niche market customers.

  • Effectively handle inbound sales calls from customers wishing to purchase travel insurance.
  • To achieve personal sales and performance targets
  • To Identify customers' needs and upsell policies to maximise sales opportunities.
  • To manage sensitive data accordingly
  • To manage outbound renewal calls for existing customers as and when required by the business - managing your own pipeline at all times.
  • Pay due regard to the interest of customers and treat them fairly - offering an exceptional level of customer service at all times.

Your skills/ experience as a Sales Executive

  • Experience in an insurance sales role/ customer facing experience/ sales experience.
  • Coachable with a positive attitude.
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience in a regulated industry ideal but not essential
  • Ability to discuss sensitive topics.
  • Professional telephone manner is essential.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the business where feasible.


  • Basic salary of £20,500
  • Guaranteed bonus of £285 first three months
