Sales Operations Manager

Location: Neath
Salary: Up to £60,000 + bonus

Yolk Recruitment is working with an exciting client who is looking for a Sales Operations Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help build, maintain, and optimise the commercial engine of a growing business.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a candidate who can translate business development strategy into a functional infrastructure-covering CRM, data management, and reporting-so that the senior team has the tools and insights to execute effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Ownership: Implement and manage the CRM and sales tech stack, ensuring a single source of truth.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Maintain pipeline accuracy and produce weekly/monthly dashboards on lead velocity, conversion rates, and bid statuses for the senior leadership team.
  • Bid Coordination & Support: Act as project manager for RFPs, collating technical specs from engineering and financial data from senior leadership to ensure timely, high-quality submissions.
  • Collateral Management: Maintain the "Sales Library," keeping all brochures, case studies, and presentation decks up to date and easily accessible.
  • Process Discipline: Ensure all leads are captured and categorised correctly, following up with senior staff to minimise administrative gaps.
  • Market Research Execution: Conduct market mapping groundwork, identifying key contacts within procurement portals and Tier 1 defence contractors.

Skills and Attributes

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and process follow-through.
  • Persistence to gather necessary data from senior leaders.
  • Adaptable, able to switch between data entry and higher-level marketing tasks.
  • Service-oriented mindset, supporting Engineering and Senior BD teams as internal customers.

Hard Skills

  • Advanced CRM administration (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar), including workflows and custom views.
  • Project management proficiency with tools such as Monday.com, Trello, or Excel.
  • Analytical literacy to transform raw data into clear visual insights.
  • Strong copywriting and formatting skills for bid documents and presentations.
