The Opportunity

A well-established, forward-thinking regional law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join its growing specialist team.

This is a genuinely rewarding role where you will support vulnerable clients-many of whom have suffered life-changing injuries or neurological conditions-in managing their property and financial affairs.

The work is varied, meaningful, and often complex, offering the chance to make a real difference while progressing your career within a supportive and ambitious environment.


The Role

You will manage your own caseload while playing a key role in the development of the team. This includes:

  • Handling Court of Protection applications, including deputyship matters
  • Advising on Personal Injury Trusts and attorneyship matters
  • Managing Statutory Will applications
  • Preparing and submitting Deputy Reports to the Office of the Public Guardian
  • Working alongside litigation teams on high-value personal injury and clinical negligence matters
  • Managing client finances, budgets, benefits, and investments
  • Liaising with medical professionals, case managers, and other third parties
  • Supporting clients with property purchases, adaptations, and ongoing management
  • Navigating sensitive family dynamics with empathy and professionalism
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members
  • Contributing to business development and team growth

About You

You will be:

  • A qualified Solicitor with Court of Protection experience
  • Confident managing a varied and busy caseload
  • Knowledgeable in the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and OPG Deputy Standards
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Compassionate, approachable, and client-focused
  • A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress into a senior role
