We are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer to work within a multi-functional delivery team, responsible for the delivery of the robust data services and designs.

Technical Responsibilities

• Deliver data enhancements using existing tools and team capabilities.
• Contribute to building a high-quality data engineering capability.
• Collaborate with data and BI teams to improve data access and usability.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and related artefacts.
• Implement solutions for internal and external data movement.
• Work with stakeholders to understand user needs and inform design decisions.
• Deliver data engineering solutions across projects using approved technologies.
• Support organisational data strategy aligned with business goals.

Development & Delivery

• Maintain and develop technical skills, staying current with industry trends.
• Ensure adherence to governance, testing, and build processes.
• Support and guide junior team members where required.

Technical Skills

• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, and related tools.
• Ability to design, build, test, and document code or scripts.
• Experience preparing, cleansing, and formatting data.
• Understanding of scalable and sustainable data solutions.

Experience

• Contributed to delivery of technical solutions within large projects.
• Familiar with Agile delivery approaches (e.g. Scrum).
• Understanding of DevOps practices.
• Experience using Azure DevOps.
