Senior Full Stack Developer - Cardiff - Hybrid Working (2 Days in the Office) - Salaries up to £75,000 - 2 Stage Process

A well-established technology company is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Developer to join their team. The company specializes in providing a full-lifecycle service platform that combines various technologies and disciplines. They prioritize a culture of accountability, empowerment, and the freedom to make decisions for yourself.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the service platform, while also acting as a mentor to your less experienced teammates. The role offers a competitive salary, ranging from £55,000 - £71,500, based on experience, in addition to quarterly profit sharing and great benefits.

You will be working with a small team in a mature Agile environment, where you will be contributing to software design and development across the full-stack, including technologies such as React, TypeScript, NodeJS, AWS Glue, Docker, AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambdas, Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Working within a small agile team and contributing to all aspects of the product development process from inception through to delivery
  • Developing features and enhancements as directed by the needs of the company using wellcrafted, reliable solutions
  • Working closely with platform users, company leadership and your team to devise innovative solutions for new product features
  • Maintaining and improving the performance, maintainability, and quality of existing solutions
  • Being a positive role-model, promoting good practice and growth among your teammates
  • Being proactive on matters of system design, team doctrines,

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to write clean and efficient code
  • Experience with unit and integration testing
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong adherence to agile development processes such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work

Ideal candidates will have experience in the following technologies:

  • Amazon Web Services (API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation, Step Functions, Glue)
  • NoSQL and/or SQL databases
  • React
  • NodeJS
  • TypeScript & JavaScript
  • Python
  • Docker
  • Apache Spark & PySpark Additionally, experience in functional programming and a GitHub account with code samples are preferred.
