​Senior Pricing Analyst

Do you have 4 years’ experience within the insurance sector? Have you used analytical software and tools? Are you able to identify, investigate and explain data patterns and trends?

This is what you’ll be doing

You will support the development and implementation of pricing strategies using sophisticated data and analytics.

Using leading and innovative methodologies to inform pricing decisions, and to enhance the customer experience.

You will:

·        Develop and maintain statistical models to analyse pricing performance and total profitability.

·        Recommend rating action and changes to pricing structures based on detailed reviews of competitive position, customer behaviour, claims performance and profitability.

·        Design and build optimisation routines for pricing new business and renewals

·        Evaluate the potential impact of new data sources on performance and manage the integration into pricing models.

·        Establish and evaluate tests to assess the relative performance of competing pricing structures.

·        Conduct regular reviews of classifications used in pricing and underwriting.

·        Analyse and monitor competitor pricing activity

·        Peer review models and proposals created within the team

·        Contribute to Pricing Meeting and Underwriting Committee reports.

·        Provide support to the Head of Underwriting on projects.

The experience you’ll bring to the team

·        Demonstrated ability to analyse data, employ statistical models and use machine learning techniques to support decision-making.

·        Able to identify, investigate and explain data patterns and trends.

·        Demonstrated ability to use a range of analytical software and tools (eg R, SAS, Emblem, Radar).

And this is what you’ll get in return

£50,000-£55,000 per annum DOE plus benefits
