The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with an interesting and unique Civil Service Organisation who are currently undergoing a transformation into the cloud space.

We are supporting them to recruit a Senior Technical Delivery Manager to be responsible for driving the timely delivery of data-related products and services using agile methodologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical delivery to empower continuous learning.

What the Senior Technical Delivery Manager will be doing
As the Senior Technical Delivery Manager within our client's DDaT Data department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the on-time delivery of data-related products and services.

  • Lead and manage cross-functional agile teams to ensure the timely delivery of data-related products and services.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Service Owners, Designers, and other key stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Utilise automated delivery methodologies (development pipelines, testing, operations) to optimise delivery efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, empowering technical teams to enhance their skills.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both within the Digital, Data, and Technology department and across the organisation.

What the successful Senior Technical Delivery Manager will bring to the team
Essential Criteria:

  • Proven track record as a Delivery Manager/Scrum Master, leading cross-functional agile teams.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience with agile methodologies such as SCRUM, Kanban, and DevOps.
  • Experience delivering componentized solutions within a wider program of delivery.
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage with stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in providing accurate progress updates, resource management information, and identifying impediments.

  • Salary band of £57,500 - £68,400
  • Pension scheme up to 27.9%
  • 25 Days annual leave PLUS Bank Holidays (Increasing to 30 days)
  • Salary of up to £51,000
  • Accrued Time - If you work 37.5 hours in 4 days, you can have the fifth day off
  • Full Flexi-Time - Work your 37.5 hours on any schedule between 5am and 10pm
