Senior Test Automation Engineer - Hybrid/Remote - up to £54,400

The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a highly specialist civil service organisation. We are supporting in their search for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join their Software Engineering team.

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will have 2+ years of experience writing automation test cases in .NET.

What the Senior Test Automation Engineer will be doing

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will take the lead in ensuring that testing (both manual and automated) provides the best coverage and value for the team. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Writing Test Automation Code, including maintaining and implementing test frameworks
• Creating test strategies, plans, and other testing documents for major/complex projects or changes to ensure appropriate test coverage and confirm customer requirements and expectations are met.
• Adopting an automation-first approach and seeking to build high-quality automated tests allied to manual testing where relevant.

What the successful Senior Test Automation Engineer will bring to the team

You will have experience in both Automated and high-quality manual testing as well as the following:

• 2+ years of experience in writing automation test cases in .NET
• A comprehensive understanding of modern testing techniques and how to apply them
• A comprehensive understanding of Test Automation, Functional testing, Non-Functional testing, and technical breadth
