Service Desk Analyst | Cardiff/Merthyr | Hybrid | 4 Day work week

Yolk Recruitment are working with a established property company based near to Cardiff that is looking to hire a strong Strong Service Desk Analyst who will be responsible for the 1st and 2nd line of IT support and providing maintenance of the offices IT systems.

The role would see you join a small but capable IT team on site. They are part of the governments 4 day work week scheme meaning you could take advantage of a shorter work week, they are also offering 2 days of remote working per week.

What you'll be doing:

The role will involve a mix of remote and desk side support in an ticket based IT support environment, meaning a good understanding of both hardware and software is essential

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line support to the colleagues, volunteers and board members, by phone, email, remote connection and desk-side support in line with the ICT Service Level Agreement.
  • Performing regular administrative tasks and be responsible for the successful execution of scheduled tasks, maintaining integrity, security and system availability.
  • You will act as the primary contact point for the Service Desk and support calls regarding the daily use of all the Mutual ICT services.
  • You will develop and deliver user training and induction to colleagues and volunteers either 1-2-1 or classroom style.
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Office software applications including Project, Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook, Access etc.

Required Skills:

Proven experience of the following systems:

  • Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2016
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Basic understanding of Networking
  • Desktop Hardware Support

Experience with the following would be beneficial:

  • Experience working in a service desk environment
  • Experience of SQL
  • Experience providing remote support
  • Knowledge of Exchange Online and Office 365
