Site Facilities Manager - £40 per hour – 3 months (extensions likely) – Onsite working – Oxfordshire – Sector: Manufacturing, Engineering, Chemical - Interview and start date ASAP
Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a site facilities manager to work with one of the largest manufacturing companies in the world. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a cutting-edge technology site that is production revolutionary propulsion technology.
You will ensure the efficient operation of the site, supporting a pilot plant for process and product development and small-scale commercial production, Technology activities in laboratories, and office-based activities of up to 50 personnel.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring EHS compliance, focussing on development of appropriate risk assessments, machine safety, CoSHH
Responsible for the management and control of 3rd parties on-site carrying out maintenance repairs, project work, testing and inspection.
Ensure all works inspected prior to contractor departure from site, collate and maintain all sign-off certifications.
Ensuring all 3rd party contractors carrying out repairs and maintenance adhere with JM lifesaving policies procedures in accordance with the EHS governance framework
Work closely with Capital Project, commissioning, and operation teams in delivering objectives of the site
Audits onsite work and ensure all conditions of permit are met and adhered to.
Manage the Engineering, Control & Instrumentation and Electrical support for the site, including line management of a team of multi-skilled engineers onsite
Scope, manage Sodexo services through an SLA, and sign off billing of same.
Place purchase orders for site contracts and goods required using SAP, obtaining approval for any new vendors as required
Core Skills:
Experience of managing 3rd party contractors in a maintenance supervisory role or equivalent
HNC or higher qualification in an Engineering discipline
EHS experience within a chemical / material manufacturing and R&D working environment – Qualified at NEBOSH standard or equivalent
Understanding and application of EHS legislation
Experience working in a facilities maintenance environment
Experience of permit to work systems
Desirable Skills:
Experience of undertaking internal audit responsibilities
Working knowledge of CDM, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, and environmental permitting
