Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a large public sector organisation to recruit a Software Developer to join an organisation which depends on its IT services to operate and innovate effectively.
 
With the organisation committed to embracing cloud technologies and creating an IT department of the future, they will invest time and effort to support you to developer your career, making this an exciting and challenging position.
 
They are offering a salary of around £40,00 with an employer pension contribution of 27.1% and a strong focus on learning and development opportunities. They offer predominantly remote working with just once quarter in the office. Their offices are based in Newport.
 
What the Software Developer will be doing
The ideal candidate will be expected to be proactive and take accountability for the squad assigned deliveries. The role will also require the investigation, diagnosis and fix of any system issues and there is an expectation to contribute to the technical strategy for the department.
 
  • Take responsibility for the design, coding, testing, and documentation of small scale to large, complex or mission critical applications in a cloud first environment using MS Azure with C# and Python.
  • Implement toolkits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security, and scalability
  • Guides more junior members in their personal development
