Software Development Manager | Cardiff | Hybrid Working | Up to £130,000

Yolk Recruitment are working with an expanding financial services organisation based in Cardiff. They're searching for an experienced Software Development Manager to take ownership of one of their Scrum teams.

As Software Development Manager you will join an experienced & talented engineering function, you will be directly managing 5 engineers collaborating with the other teams to ensure projects are delivered on time & to company specifications. Previous experience as a software engineer is a must but they are flexible on technical background. As long as you have solid OOP experience in Java, C#, Ruby, Python or similar they would be keen to talk to you.

They are operating a hybrid working policy with 2 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Line management of a team of 5 engineers

• Taking an active role in solutions design & architecture

• Working closely with other teams to ensure projects are delivered on time

• Ensuring engineering best practice is followed across the full development life cycle

Skills Required:

• 2+ years managing / leading software engineering teams

• Strong technical background in software engineering

• Experience in OOP programming in Java, Ruby, C#, Python or similar

• Significant experience working in Agile / Scrum development environments
