This role is ideally Bristol based but this firm has recently introduced a flexible by choice policy as they understand that the traditional hours of 9-5 do not suit everyone and so the team can provide flexible working options.
This team deals with occupational disease claims, mostly asbestos related disease claims. Most cases within this team are litigated. You will be working alongside a highly regarded Partner who has over 25 years of experience handling mesothelioma and asbestos related disease claims.
This is an opportunity to be involved in managing a rewarding, diverse case load, by securing justice for clients. Given the nature of the work you will be responsible for providing high levels of client care by remaining calm and putting your clients needs at first.
This is what you will be doing:
Taking instructions from clients and give legal advice, including obtaining evidence and, where appropriate, pursuing litigation, to achieve appropriate resolutions for the clients.
Developing relationships with nurses, other medical professionals, and victim support groups to provide an exceptional client experience and generate new cases.
Manage own caseload, while also assisting the Partner and senior team members on high value cases.
Review cases and other relevant matters with supervisor to ensure quality legal advice is provided.
The experience you will bring to the team:
· Solicitor or legal executive NQ – 3 PQE
Experience in Personal Injury multi-track litigation experience, ideally in asbestos claims(Solicitor or Legal Executive experience) but not essential.
Strong appetite for business development.
Proven experience of handling your own cases, including your own litigated cases.
A clear enthusiasm for this area of law and a commitment to securing the best outcomes for your clients whilst working under pressure.
Operate independently and as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for our clients and develop other team members.
An ability to work with empathy and integrity.
