Yolk Recruitment are working with an innovative financial institution based in Cardiff. They are currently undergoing a large scale digital transformation focused on improving & expanding their product offering and capability. They are looking for a Solutions Architect to join their Architecture team.
As Solutions Architect you will work closely with business stakeholders translating business requirements into workable technical solutions. You will then collaborate with Scrum team members to ensure that the most appropriate technology is used to incrementally deliver solutions that meet customer need and support business and IT strategy. They would be happy to consider either experienced Solutions Architect or a strong technical lead looking to progress into a design / architect focused position.
They are based in Cardiff but offer a flexible hybrid working solution with no requirement to come into the office.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with delivery teams and technology vendors, document and communicate technology solutions through the delivery of solution options and solution designs.
- Provide technical knowledge, understanding and expertise of the current technology landscape to support existing technical solutions and integration of disparate new technologies to the Society.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures for the definition, communication and governance of solution design within the Group.
- Evaluate and recommend products and/or services from external software and solution providers to either support solutions or demonstrate potential capabilities that could benefit the Society.
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of IT Architecture principles & Frameworks and their translation into solutions.
- Knowledge of technical solutions design covering hardware, software and integration technologies.
- Strong analytical problem solving skills with excellent numerical reasoning skills.
- Awareness of the latest technology landscape including security, development methodologies, tools and design & delivery best practice.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
