Yolk Recruitment is thrilled to be spearheading the search for a Special Process Engineer to join the dynamic Technical Team. I am looking to speak with people who have either Lab, Chemistry, NDT, Heat Treatment, Metallurgy or Auditing experience.

Are you ready to take the reins in overseeing critical technical functions such as Laboratory, Etch, FPI, Heat Treatment, XRF & Pyrometry? This role is your gateway to ensuring process compliance, maintaining approvals from industry giants, and being the driving force behind NADCAP standards. And this is what you'll be doing:

• Provide technical oversight for all Special Process functions, including Laboratory, Etch, FPI, Heat Treatment, XRF & Pyrometry, ensuring strict adherence to customer specifications.
• Assist the Laboratory in conducting investigations, validating requirements, and coordinating mechanical testing, all from a technical perspective.
• Manage and facilitate comprehensive training programs for NDT personnel in accordance with EN4179 & NAS410 standards.
• Coordinate all subcontract NDT support, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficiency.
• Maintain approvals for all Special Processes, including customer-specific approvals from key industry players.
• Take the lead role as the auditee during NADCAP audits to ensure ongoing compliance and approvals.
• Ensure the meticulous maintenance of calibration within the Laboratory & Special Processes to guarantee precision and accuracy.
• Undertake additional tasks, within your capabilities, across various departments as requested by Technical Management.

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing background.
• BTEC, HND or A Levels in Material Science / Engineering would be advantageous.
