Supplier Quality Engineer
A fantastic opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a global manufacturing business who are looking to strengthen their Quality Engineering function with a permanent hire. This is a great opportunity for a Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer to support the Supplier Quality development activities. The role would suit a Quality Engineer who has previous experience of supporting & improving supplier quality performance through data analysis and continuous improvement processes. A salary of £36,500 is on offer, in addition to a strong benefits package.
This is what you'll be doing:
The successful applicant will be reporting into the Quality Manager working alongside the Engineering & Quality teams to ensure the on-going maintenance and structured development of suppliers through data analysis & continuous improvement techniques. The successful candidate will be a fully trained auditor, and will facilitate continuous improvement through the supply chain by employing LEAN principles.
The experience you'll bring to the team:
Degree or equivalent in an engineering/manufacturing related discipline.
Understanding of various quality tools & methodologies (I.E PPAP, APQP, 8D, SPC)
Experienced and accredited auditor of ISO9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001 management systems.
Sound knowledge of lean manufacturing, ideally coupled with a Six Sigma certification (highly desirable).
Possess the ability to interpret statistical data.
A passion for engineering, and in particular quality engineering is key, and coupled with the above points would be highly desirable and put candidates with a distinct advantage.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent report writing skills.
Evidence of continuous professional development
Health & Safety awareness.
