Supply Planner

Yolk Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer based in Cardiff who are looking for an experienced Supply Planner to join their Cardiff site who will create supply plans and work closely with the Supply Chain Manager.

This is your opportunity to join a manufacturer that produce products in over 50 countries and have multiple sites within the UK and internationally. The role would be best suited to someone who has experience in a similar Production Planning role.

This is what you'll be doing

• Assisting Supply Chain Manager with day today duties
• Develop short, medium and long-term supply plans for items produced internally and externally
• Create supply plans to support business operations
• Liaise with external stakeholders
• Integrate strategic planning procedures
• Be able to use continuous improvement techniques
• Working alongside New Product Development (NPI) to help support and manage supply plans
• Internal stock management
• Maintain internal systems and manage inventory stock takes
• Deliver master plans and material requirement plans
• Perform root cause analysis
• Work towards company KPI's

The experience you'll bring to the team

• Previous production planning experience in a similar environment
• Experience working in S&OP
• Knowledge on supply chain planning and inventory management processes
• Experience in ERP / MRP systems
• Hands on experience similar environment
• Be able to prioritise workload and work autonomously
• Experience or understanding of managing people
• Experience working with cost reduction procedures
• Be able to work in a manufacturing environment and understand supply chain procedures
• Experience working with Sage X3 (desirable)
• Be able to work alongside different sites
