I am proud to be working in partnership with this major Food Manufacturing business based in Caerphilly. This client is working with me exclusively in recruiting an experienced Technical Compliance Manager who will report directly to the Technical Director. This role is pivotal to the business in managing a high-performing technical compliance team covering multiple projects.
As Technical Compliance Manager you'll be
Ensuring full site compliance activities are completed including product safety, legality and quality systems.
Managing team workload providing pack copy, specification and artwork approval support.
Responsible for all technical and legal compliance, development and maintenance of systems
Responsible for developing and maintaining a system to minimise the risk of purchasing fraudulent or adulterated food raw materials i.e. TACCP & VACCP studies
Legislation (current and emerging) compliance, Supplier Assurance, ensuring the successful delivery and implementation to support the Technical Strategy at site and group level.
Working alongside relevant functions including technical and quality, production, commercial, marketing and procurement ensuring food safety is up to date, legislative and compliant with UK and EU standards.
Supporting the Team auditing activity on site (internal and external). e.g. legislation compliance, ensuring the successful delivery in support of the implementation of the PFS technical strategy.
Demonstrating through policies, procedures and auditing, a business understanding of the technical legal requirements for food safe and legal product that meets or exceeds retailer requirements.
Leading the site development, based on Codex Alimentarius that is understood at all levels throughout the business and meets the business’ legal requirements as well as those of BRC and customers
What you’ll bring to the team
Experience in effective communication with retailers and suppliers
Experience in food legislation, its interpretation and application
Applied knowledge of UK / EU legislations
Food based degree is preferable
Familiar with major UK retailers’ Code of Practice
TACCP & VACCP Training Certificate
HACCP Qualification highly desirable
