Travel Claims Handler

Yolk Recruitment are seeking a Travel Claims Handler as we are partnered with an amazing organisation in the heart of Cardiff who provide top quality insurance services to a well- established insurance provider. They offer a wide variety of functions, including customer service, claims handling, underwriting, pricing, and other insurance-related activities. As a data-driven and agile company, they encourage all employees to contribute ideas and help implement improvements to continually enhance their operations and customer experience.

Whilst they have been on a growth trajectory, recently gaining support from new partners to accelerate their business further. They are now seeking a dedicated Travel Claims Handler to join the team and make a direct impact on our customer experience in Travel Claims. The role is Hybrid 2 days onsite a week.

This role involves proactive management of travel insurance claims from initial report to closure.

As a Travel Claims Handler you will be doing the following:

  • Assessing indemnity, liability, and quantum on travel claims
  • Identifying and referring fraud indicators
  • Proactive case load management
  • Negotiating settlement of claims
  • Providing exceptional service to our customers
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Contributing to improvements in operational processes within the claims area
  • Supporting the Claims Team Leader with day-to-day departmental activities
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, service, and productivity

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a travel insurance claims environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers, third parties, and suppliers
  • Ability to interpret data to identify trends and inform action
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team framework
