​UI Designer - Inside IR35 - Fully Remote - Up to £525 per day - 3/6 Months - Immediate Start

One of our longest serving clients are currently on the lookout for a UI Designer to join their team on an INSIDE IR35 contract basis. The UI designer will work closely with agile scrum teams comprising UX designers, developers, testers and product owners to create intuitive and beautiful designs that align to our client's design principles and design system, across all of their products.

The UI designer will help our client move towards a consistent and improved user interface, documenting reusable components and design approaches in a design system that the whole team can reference.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translating high-level requirements into simple yet effective UIs that champions the user.

• Developing and maintaining our client's design system.

• Collaborating closely with our UX designers, product owners and developers to create compelling user experiences that really stand out against the competition.

• Liaising with both front-end and back-end developers and providing necessary optimised assets to take your ideas from a conceptual design to a fully-fledged software application.

• Communicating effectively any ideas, prototypes and final designs to internal stakeholders and peers with the ability to take on constructive feedback.

To be successful in the role, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• Passion for designing quality products with a great user interface.

• Awareness of key psychological principles that inform good design

• Good working knowledge of digital accessibility

• Strong responsive layout and grid skills spanning across web and app design for all platforms.

• Strong colour theory, typography, iconography and UI design capabilities

• Knowledge of design system creation/maintenance and modern UI design best practises.

• The ability to take an idea from conception to a fully working application through liaising with UX designers, front and back-end developers, product owners and internal stakeholders in an agile and scrum environment

• Self-organising, with the ability to work in a fast paced environment with several projects on the go at any one time

• Excellent communication skills through whichever way you feel is appropriate for a situation – whether this be through talking, drawing, presenting or another medium

• To be excellent at communicating and influencing – to be an inspiring ambassador for our products in the marketplace.

• Able to conceptualise, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally.
