People Administration Assistant

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Full-time (37 hours per week)
Starting Salary: £25,804 (Rising to £28,778 per annum)
Location: South Wales, Pontypridd - with hybrid working opportunities

We are working with a leading higher education provider who are seeking a proactive and organised People Administration Assistant to join its People and Organisation Development team on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

The Role

You will provide high-quality administrative support across the People function, acting as a first point of contact for HR queries and ensuring excellent customer service to internal stakeholders. The role supports areas including employee relations, learning and development, engagement and people systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to HR queries and provide administrative support across the People team
  • Maintain and update HR systems with accurate data
  • Support meetings and events, including preparing documentation and taking minutes
  • Process invoices and provide financial administrative support
  • Assist with Occupational Health administration
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency

About You

  • CIPD Level 3 qualified (or equivalent experience in HR/People role)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and HR systems
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work on your own initiative
  • Desirable: Welsh language skills.
