Quality Inspector

Up to £40,000

Yolk Recruitment are supporting the recruitment of an experienced Quality Inspector to join a growing precision engineering business operating within the aerospace sector. This is a hands-on inspection role focused on ensuring components meet strict customer specifications and AS9100 standards. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting precision components at various stages of production to ensure full compliance with engineering drawings and aerospace standards.

If you have a background in aerospace manufacturing and strong experience with CMM and precision measurement equipment, this opportunity offers stability, technical challenge, and long-term progression within a well-established engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect components at multiple production stages, from incoming materials to final finished products, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and specifications
  • Measure and verify component dimensions using CMMs, micrometers, vernier calipers, and other precision metrology tools
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, recording measurements, treatments, and processes accurately
  • Review outgoing parts to confirm documentation and quality records are complete and accurate
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues efficiently
  • Support corrective actions and root cause investigations to prevent recurring issues
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring all records are up to date
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in inspection methods and overall product quality.

This is what you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 / AS9100D standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
