Fixed Term Contract- Technical Administrator - Manufacturing & Engineering

Location: Newport
Working Pattern: Office-based

I'm currently working with a well-established manufacturing and engineering business that has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and continuous improvement. They are known for their supportive culture and commitment to developing their people, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a technical environment.

Due to continued growth, they're now looking to bring in a Technical Administrator to support their engineering and production teams.

This is what you'll be doing
As a Technical Administrator, you'll play a key role in keeping the day-to-day operations running smoothly. You'll be supporting technical teams by managing documentation and ensuring processes are followed correctly across projects.

  • Managing and maintaining technical documentation, drawings, and records, ensuring everything is accurate, organised, and easy to access
  • Supporting engineering and production teams with administrative tasks, helping to keep projects running efficiently and on schedule
  • Coordinating project documentation such as specifications, reports, and compliance records to meet internal and external standards
  • Assisting with document control, system updates, and data entry to support overall operational performance
  • Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers to ensure clear communication and smooth workflow

This is what you'll bring to the team
They're looking for a Technical Administrator who is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering, although this isn't essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and confidence picking up new systems
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with different teams
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

This is what you'll get in return
This is a great opportunity to join a growing business where you'll be supported and given the opportunity to develop your career.

  • Competitive salary
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Flexible working options where available
  • Holiday allowance and benefits package
