Formed through the merger of Melin Homes and Newport City Homes, Hedyn is a vibrant, newly created organisation with an ambitious vision:

Creating connected communities where everyone can live well.

The Opportunity

This is a 3-month fixed-term contract supporting Hedyn's Workplace Experience team during a period of increased demand and organisational transition.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring their office environments remain safe, well-managed, operationally efficient and welcoming for colleagues and visitors.

This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone proactive, organised and adaptable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting fire safety checks across multiple sites
  • Managing office repair enquiries and coordinating maintenance jobs
  • Supporting equipment and stock management (including DSE items and first aid supplies)
  • Producing weekly office usage reports
  • Maintaining workplace systems (sign-in app updates, desk booking enquiries)
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Providing reception cover (mail handling, deliveries, parking coordination)

You'll work closely with internal teams including Safety & Health, Property & Place, Communications, and the People Team, as well as external contractors and service providers.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • 1-2 years' experience in facilities, workplace support or office operations
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Confident communicator with solid interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently across different locations
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

Why Join Hedyn?

As a newly formed organisation, they are shaping a reward and benefits offer that reflects the importance they place on their people, building on strong annual leave, pension provision, flexible working, wellbeing support and career development opportunities.

Interested?

If you're proactive, organised, and ready to contribute to a growing organisation making a real difference across Wales, we'd love to hear from you.
